Its amazing how fast society can change..

Jan-May I had zero trouble hiring good qualified employees, fast forward to now its a uphill fight. We offer a above average wage and all I keep hearing is "I'm currently making more on unemployment" and they turn down the job offer.

Makes me sick

But, the "Employer Work Refusal Documentation Form" is a wonderful thing.

I bet nothing ever happens to those who refuse work. Do you know if they actually cut anyone off?

I think it's just a feel good form to make those of us working think people who are offered jobs get cut off.

Dont know what happens , but TWC has a employer portal that we use to hire prospective Officers that have resumes match up and are on unemployment. Everything is documented on the TWC site because all contact is made through their portal. if they turn down the job offer all the interviewer does is click the tab reflecting they turned down the job offer.

What do you do and what does it pay? What does unemployment pay?

I run a large physical security firm with over 240 employees, starting pay for qualified prospects starts at 15.00 all the way up to 20.00 per hour and 25 cents per mile depending where in the state we are hiring.

Unemployment is paying, what I understand its a percentage of their former pay plus a additional 600.00 for covid relief.

You’re right, people are making $20+ and hour to not work. Why would they work? Those people don’t have a work ethic to begin with, and don’t appreciate the value of a hard days work.

It’s an upside down world we live in right now.

There are also older and at-risk people that should not be working right now and are benefiting from this. It's not all lazy people on unemployment.

With that said, why can't you hire from another website. People that are only posting on TWC aren't really looking for a job.

On a side note, we can't even high good call center agents for $15 / hr. Temp warehouse work is around that.

The problem is, for years a small group has said, "you're not getting what you deserve in pay and healthcare". That small group has found media outlets to utilize their socialist platform/agenda and now we have literally MILLIONS who actually believe they "deserve more pay and free health care" because they believe they deserve it!

I once told my Dad I deserved $5.00 for mowing a 1.25 acre yard with a push mower. When I got up off the ground he made me mow it in the heat of the day.

We hire from multiple platforms, and when the interviewer asks why they are turning down the job offer their reason is recorded, TWC actually has selections for "At Risk" individuals and gives them a pass.

State Average for Licensed Armed Officers is around 12.00hr

That aint no lie. I have guys already telling me just come out and work a day or two will pay cash.
Aint many young people want to stand up on their hind legs and go to work, they figuring out now the gubment gonna feed them

I don't see how they can still be on unemployment if they are turning down jobs. That is not right and something needs to be done. I doubt they even look at the refusal forms, probably have a pile of them on someones desk that they just throw away. Its sad that some people would rather just sit on there *** and not contribute to society. I guess in the mean time i will just have to keep paying for them to stay at home and chill.
