Looks too easy to open. If locked the pistol should be secure even with the latches open.

10 4. I just found a knock off pelican at HF for 13 bucks I'm gonna buy.

I have used this on SWA. Put a better lock on it.

With the lock on, if you can unlatch the case and touch the gun inside, it will not pass TSA.

I’ve traveled a couple times with G43 in its case similar to what you’ve done. Go to the airlines website and follow their guidelines.

As others have said, the case isn't exactly the problem, but that big arse lock appears to let you open the case and remove the gun with the lock still on. Traveling with firearms isn't something to get sloppy on IMO. This is coming from a guy that got caught with a mag full of 22's in Zambia airport without a gun permit (borrowed gun).

That wasn't fun at all - so now I am extra careful.

                You need TSA approved locks

TSA needs to be able to open it.

That will not fly with them, pun intended

Never use TSA locks on a gun case once you have checked it with them no one should open the case

Last time I flew out if DFW. Double locks and I kept the keys. They did tell me that there could be no gap with the locks on and latches released. I did get called back to the x-ray room to open it. I think the guy just wanted to look. Just checked to make sure no loaded mags in pistol.

Negative. At least not on AA/Alaskan/Turkish/Emirates flights I’ve been on.
