And preferably white because it blends in with all the oilfield trucks.

Glad they settled. Sorry it happened. We have to get prosecutors to take crime seriously before it will get better.

Does that mean I can't count on you for publicity liason?

I agree. I’d give him a slight edge over Beto

            OP,

Any updates on the stolen truck, and your search for a new ride?

Perp’s car is stolen and the tag is a dead end. I’m an auto-theft investigator.

They know they can get away with it. These liberal judges let murderers out the same day on bail. So they can go shoot more people. These judges need to be accountable. Sorry for your loss OP!

Crickets so far. I asked for an update last week, but got nothing so far.

I do have a truck in sight I like. I'll be talking numbers today so fingers crossed...

Have had one broken into twice but have not had one stolen with the ravelco

                      Update

I got a call from HPD this morning. A tow truck driver picked up my truck on the feeder on I45, just south of the Dixie Farm exit. The only information they gave me is "it was missing tires." I called the tow company, and they gave me the same information with no other details. I'm guessing more is missing than just tires, and I'm surprised it was still in the Houston area. I'm betting it's just a hull... Since my truck is "totaled" now, I'm told after 24 hours, HPD will send letters to me, the lien holder, and my insurance company regarding the truck's whereabouts. I have already signed the truck over to the insurance company, and they've settled with me.

The truck I mentioned above I was looking to buy fell through. The search for my new ride continues. I took vacation to hunt opening week, but it looks like I'll be hunting for a truck instead.
I don't wish this on nobody!

What a mess. It really is a huge inconvenience. Hope that the right truck lands in your lap!

Absolutely!! These **** guys do whatever they want because they know the consequences will be minimal. I say shoot the *******s between the eyes!!

Dang man. Did he say where they found it off Dixie Farm Road? Im curious i drive that way every day home. My shop is in pasadena and I have recently updated our cameras becuase of your issue.

I had a guy in our yard one day asking if I am selling my wood we had on pallets and basically i told him to beat it. He was coming to scope it out.

if you kept my number, text me the license plate # that was on it. I can prolly find out where it is if you want. I'll be in the field and away from computer

It was just dumped on the feeder with no tires/wheels just south of Dixie Farm. I'm not sure if it was north or south bound.

Thanks Shane. The officer gave me the tow yard where it is, but said I'd have to have a insurance rep. escort me if I wanted to look at it. I did convince her to tell me the engine/transmission was in tact along with seats etc. Of course the start button was punched out, on star gone etc., but I don't think I even wanna pursue buying it back. It'd have a salvage title, liability insurance only (I'm guessing), and I doubt anyone would warranty a salvage titled truck. Regardless, I'm moving on.

Edit: I'm not sure if the wrecker driver ran the plate or VIN.
