I would bring all the pigs to one spot and hunt it at night with thermal.
    Trap too.

I wonder if the pigs are eating the carcasses
    You should camera some!

A coyote could have a full belly, and it will kill a fawn if it sees it.

We predator hunt a lot on our place & use bait piles like you mentioned just to see whats frequenting the area. I have a pic somewhere of like 6 or 7 coyotes on this bait pile. Definitely put a camera up it’s cool to see what comes in. Like others have said you definitely need to trap also

I did that once and had two stinking buzzards to release the next day. Not fun!

Sounds like a solid lan for sure; but I’ve read lots of articles that the predator impact on deer populations is so insignificant. Doesn’t sound logical to me unless the belief is that we Are not removing enough predators to make a difference

We saw our fawn crop decimated about 3 years ago in San Saba. So many coyotes I killed several during deer season from my cart traveling to stand.

On average predators take up to 50% of fawns each year. But we went from seeing one fawn for every 5 or 6 doe four years ago to about a 2 to 1 last season.
Trouble is our place is thick and difficult to call them in.

We put a camera on our carcass dump and it was all pigs eating pigs.
