Rumor it’s a 1 year deal for Baker which is what I was hoping if we went that way.

Let’s be honest about the analytical approach. Obviously the Astros told him we want you to steady the ship, bring your old school knowledge and experience, but this is how we run stuff. Our staff is set, bench and position coaches are set, we will continue to play Astros baseball and be analytically driven on most all decisions. Dusty being 70, with no WS and this roster probably said where do I sign after this conversation.

I read that earlier..
problem i have with it is the bangs are subjective.
He admitted on twitter he didnt actually analyze each piece of footage he used to determine bangs but used visual aid of audio peaks and marked it a bang.. it also doesnt indicate where a bang came from..if it was an indicator of a pitch or if it was used.
White and marisnick were among the the high watermarks and they are either deaf as hell or the data is incorrect.
The baseline is skewed by design and unscientific and not indicative of performance gains. but..all that being said.. it sure is interesting to look at.

I still don’t like this hire of Baker. Bad choice imo
