He's big. I shot him broadside, just a hair quartering away, ground level. 2 steps from the pen there was blood and chewed corn. 10 more feet blood on broom weed. I backed out and left.

I shot a doe last year that had a lot of "gut material" on the track. She was double lunged, and never punctured the diaphragm. Only guess is I hit the esophagus between the mouth and stomach somewhere. She didn't make it hardly anywhere.

I backed out after I got my arrow. I know better.

Does arrow smell like guts? Mine didn't. If you passed thru guts, arrow will stink.
