dusk to dawn light compatibility ?

I have a 5 year old dusk to dawn light on the shop...20ft off the ground...

It was cycling every couple mins at night and figured the sensor was going out...so I climbed up there and replaced the plug in twist lock sensor witha new one...also noticed the bulb was blown...
I replaced the bulb with a 150w to 32 w LED bulb....and now it wont light up but I heard a constant clicking sound every 3 to 4 seconds....

You think the LED bulb isn't compatible with the light?

    Thoughts?

Tired of climbing up this dang ladder

Was there a ballast for the original 150W bulb?

It burnt up….climbed up there again and $20 LED bulb was toast…..have to have a LED fixture……
      Lesson learned

Time for a new light. Changing parts will cost more than a new light.

          The lamps are not interchangeable!

You can remove the ballast and the led will work. Replaced all the bulbs at work doing this

The cycling was the bulb telling you it needed replacing…..have to replace it with the same type and wattage bulb.

You could also wire around the ballast and run an LED bulb, but might want to consult with an electrician on that.
