    Gallbladder Issues?

Hey, TBH. I'm looking to see if I can get a first hand account from those who have had gallbladder issues. WebMD and other Google searches are no good for me, by either giving me vague answers or messing with my head and making me think of worst case situations. However, I'm having some sort of issue and I can't figure this thing out. I've been to my primary doctor, a GI specialist, had a CT scan done, and they're all inconclusive. Whatever it is, though, seems to affect me most around my upper right stomach just below my ribs, and I think I can feel some swelling there as well. The discomfort comes and goes, but today it's been more constant. Could this be a gallbadder inflamed or stones or something? No fever or vomiting; just discomfort.

I have issues same place. But ONLY at night and after a big meal. Pretty brutal pain for a few hours. I could eat five pounds of bacon for breakfast but a big meal late will get me.

If I were you, I'd go see a 2nd GI doctor.

Sounds exactly like mine. The "episodes" I had would mostly start when I layed down. The 1st one lasted about 45 minutes, and they got progressively longer for several weeks, until after about 10 hours of non stop, excruciating pain....I went to the hospital and they took it out.

I had mine removed at 46, family history of gall bladder issues. Mine started with pain in My lower back, and went away after some ibuprofen and stretching exercise. I figured I just over did it at the lease doing work. It hit again the next night about 4 am, and I automatically thought it was the same. This time, the pain didn’t go away, but got increasingly worse. After an hour or so, I could feel the pain more around my right side and eventually tithe front. At that point, from the family history, I figured it was my gall bladder. Woke up the wife and son and we headed to the ER. They cut it out that afternoon, my gall bladder was about 3x normal size and full of stones. Thank was back at work in 2 days, and just had to watch my diet for a while. I took some supplements for a couple of years but couldn’t really tell that they helped.

Mine did the same thing. Every single time it was in the middle of the night around 2am. Wake up to a slight "stomach cramp", within 30 minutes it was hurting all the way through to my back. Took 3 trips to the ER before they did a sonogram and found gall stones. The last time I literally crawled into the ER on my hands and knees because of the pain. It would last a few hours and then go away. A week later I had it taken out. No problems since. Well, except for the first 6 months or so afterward. When you felt "a twinge" like you needed to go poop, you better be headed that way, FAST. Thank me later for that piece of advice.

Go get you gall bladder checked by another DR. You got gall stones. Guaranteed.

I've got this exact same issue and have been through all the protocol you mention. I have almost killed myself searching for answers. Nobody can figure it out.

I truly think(as I put on my Tinfoil hat) there's something in our food or water causing it... I've talked to about 10 people with the exact same issue.

Let me guess, you'd also classify that before this mysterious dull pain showed up, you had a change in bowel habits too? The best thing I knew to tell my doctor is I went from being consistent on BM to the only thing that is consistent is that I'm inconsistent...

I've done upper endoscopy, barium swallow, colonoscopy, and CT scan. No issues found...

All they did on me was a sonogram, and said "yep, it's gotta come out!"

Spot on. I also had started on doxycycline back in April because of some abdominal and groin pain. I thought I had a bad reaction to it, which changed up my bowel habits, but those changes go back to this time last year also. But consistently, I've had pain that has been intermittent in my upper right abdomen or right around my navel.

I've had every question about appendicitis, IBS, prostate, and blood work asked by me and all they've concluded to was eat more yogurt/kefir milk to balance out guy bacteria and take an antidepressant. I tried the med and it made me have an episode of incredibly weird feelings and I immediately stopped it.

I don't think my hormones are off, I know my testosterone levels are good, CT back in September was normal, but if I'm passing stones then I guess it can miss those when I'm not symptomatic...idk. All I know is that is rather hear other people's first hand experience with something like this versus looking at a list of "possible" causes.

I've been watching what I eat over the last few months, but I'll change it up and make sure I stay away from greasy, fatty foods and see how things go over the next few days. If it gets bad, I'll go to the DR.

I can sacrifice tacos for a few days, I guess.

My wife had these same symptoms. They said her gall bladder was full of "sludge", not really developed stones. This still gave her real pain, especially after eating greasy types of food. The first doctor she saw told her they didn't do surgery for "sludge". After suffering another year or so, she went to a different doctor and he said that thought process had changed. Had it removed last year in November, and no more issues!

I had gallstones about 25 years ago. Same symptoms as OP, but also a sharp pain between my shoulder blades and constant indigestion. My chiropractor told me to totally eliminate saturated fats for a while and gave me some bile thinning natural supplements. I stuck to the diet very strictly and the pain went away in a short time. Stayed on the diet a few months and took the supplements about 6 months. Never had a problem since.

Had mine taken out on Christmas morning 5 years ago. Went to ER at 2 AM Christmas eve in excruciating pain so bad they had to come out to the car to get me.

Do it. It's pretty common and recovery is pretty easy. You'll be glad you did.

Exact same. Severe inconsistent BM, Years of issues. My GI dr suggested having a total colectomy!! Um, no!
I changed my diet. Started doing keto, eliminating breads and carbs helped tremendously.
