    AR 15 Help

I have an AR i swapped out barrel, BCG, gas block, and gas tube. Took it out to sight it in yesterday and it shoots, but doesnt eject spent shell. When i pull the charging handle back it ejects just fine. From my little bit of research i am seeing it could be the gas block/tube misaligned. Figured i would come here before i do anything to it.

i switched it from 556 to 6.5 grendel, if that matters

Sounds like your gas block isn’t lined up with the hole on the barrel. Or you tube isn’t seated to the correct depth.

The gas port in the barrel could also be undersized. I have had to open the hole up in a few over the years. If you open it up and get to the point of being over gassed, an adjustable gas block would take care of the problem.

As others have stated I think it has to do with the the gas block. The holes have to be aligned perfectly.

Gas block or did you switch out the bolt when you switched out the barrel??

                    ARP barrels come dimpled

Small hole 180 degrees opposite of the gas block hole

                    Makes them easier to align

One piece gas blocks are made to auto align with the dimple/gas block hole

Takes the guess work out of the equation

But yes- it's the gas block

And yes I've done the same

Adjustable blocks can be tuned to the buffer spring

It should eject the case at 3 O clock to 5 O clock
