    The OL' WATERING HOLE

You don’t see very many trail cam pics on water holes so I figured I would post a few up.

Jacob, there is a windmill and holding tank just out of the picture and the water you see is overflow from the holding tank.

There is an old empty round watering tank with a big mesquite draping over it within 15 yards of the overflow that is centered in the middle of one side of the oval watering hole that would make for a great bow blind.
(It is just out of the photo in the brush on the right side of the first pic.)

It offers good broadside shots of game approaching from both the left and right end of the pool; with very few animals coming to drink from a head-on angle. It would serve as great bow blind.

I set up in it and took a few still photos of deer coming in to drink.

At 15 yards they could not hear the click of the camera over the windmill's noise and the slight breeze blowing.

About 18 yards would be the max distance on a shot.

I will post up a few still photos in the photography forum a little later.
