Destin condo or similar?

We had a trip booked to Florida but due to a death in the family we had to cancel and now I’m trying to book something kinda last minute, probably mid July. Anyone stayed at anything in or around destin? I’m going to have small children with me so the more stuff for them the better. The original trip was Navarre beach with the rest of my family but now it’s going to be just me my wife and kids because others could not reschedule their time off work so we just canceled the whole thing. most what I looked at is around 3 or 4 grand, but I dont want to end up in a dump so I don’t know what it should cost..

Hey Randal, we are doing a similar venture. As far as locale, we ended up near this one https://www.vrbo.com/2330415?arrival...unitId=2896721, but with my littles, we opted to snag a condo that has a pool and is right around the corner from this one.

As far as looking, there are 2 public access points to the beach near this one (look on google maps - https://goo.gl/maps/32p5VwEbyob3sE219) that I use as my go to because I am done lugging all kinds of gear for miles around those neighborhoods. it is far enough away from destin touristy stuff like the board walk and all that, that the focus was the beach and a couple of small eateries.

Thanks, I’ve been looking some, only thing that sucks about that and Airbnb is you click book then your in it for another 700 to 1000 bucks for “host fee” and “service fee”

We have small kids and have liked Seaside/30A. To me it's very family friendly and less crowded. Regardless, we always book through panhandle getaways. It just seems easier than VRBO. They have properties all along the panhandle including Destin.

I always find the condo I want on VRBO and then message the owners to book direct. Save all the BS fees from VRBO.

take the kids and stay inside the SanDestin resort...you wont be disappointed....

We just got home yesterday. We stayed on 30A in Prominence 30A. Very nice houses, great pool with grills off to the side. Right across the street from The Hub. House came with golf cart and free bike rentals. Access to Santa Clara and Gulf Lakes beaches just down the road. Highly recommend. We rented through Panhandle Getaways. Very easy with Hospitality app that had everything we needed in the app to reserve umbrellas, chairs, etc on the beaches.

We normally go to Navarre and this year we stayed in Orange Beach, AL. We preferred that over Florida. Tons of stuff to do outside of the beach, laid back and very family friendly, not crowded either. I can’t remember the name of the condo we stayed at but we booked on AirBnb.
