I had to cancel my Javi hunt this week due to wife having surgery. That being said if things go well and the weather permits I may run down and shoot a round on Sunday.

The Last Man Standing is an archery game that is fun for everyone. Show up with your bow to play. We will start with a donated amount of money say $50 just for having a number. The host will call a shot, say, "Shoot the elk". Everyone stands up to the line and shoots at the elk. The arrows in the elk are "free" to move on. FYI...I have seen the pots from $250-$1000. It is very fun, lots of laughter, and picking at each other goes on to make it a great game to meet people, and have fun with no pressure.

Yes ma’am, one of my favorites. We shot right behind your group a couple years ago and you gavee my daughter a few pointers. She was shooting that orange buckeye Burl bow I built for her.

$25 for the first round. $15 all other rounds. You can shot as many rounds as you have time for. I plan to shoot 6 classes.

Putting out targets since yesterday. The weather is fine here. Friday clearing. Saturday and Sunday look fine on my wunderground weather. Media panic gotta have something to report.

We've been watching the weather there, and think along the same line. Can't wait for the weekend to get here! I wish we were closer so we could help set up. How many targets are you putting out?

I have to work Friday. Rain delays on work caused me to rework my plans. Still shoot Saturday for sure.

Course is awesome. No rain at all. Looking good. If by chance it rains Friday we will move those shoot downs to Saturday. Also if rains we will do an archery class. All kinds of ideas.

Well there is two 20 target courses, Bob Lee course, and Pope and Young course, for a total of 40 targets. There is a 6 target shootdown field for our games. 8 practice bags for warming up, or instruction on shooting. The course is great BTW...Looking forward to it.

Y’all r funny. It is not a long course. It’s just a fun course. Some challenging. Some easy. Course I miss the easy ones every time. If u come shoot it I promise u will be surprised at the course. It’s one of the best. I have never seen one like it. Y’all let me know what u think after u shoot it. U won’t regret coming.

I'm sure that's true. I regret not getting there.
Unfortunately last night a good friend died of a heart attack. The call came in early this morning. After a discussion with my wife we decided going to visit the family was more appropriate than taking off.
I don't know, my social awareness is lacking. However she's pretty smart and the fact we've known them almost 3 decades, go to church with them, been in and through scouting with them, not to mention I have been a business associate with Larry last six years made me agree that being here was better. I lost a friend once and went on to the scheduled scout outing for the weekend before driving up to Missouri for the funeral and regretted later not just cancelling the campout and going straight to.
Sorry I missed it. Hopefully someone will post a few pics.

Great course, and well thought out. Robin Hooded my first arrow on the practice range this morning, my only lost arrow, so that was good!

Thank you Camp Ta-Ku-La family: George, Josh, Rebekah, Laurie, Bonnie, Dorothy, Aaron, Jed for your hospitality and help this past week hosting the Chester Classic. What a pleasure it was to work with you all. Bill Decker left a wonderful legacy for the archery community there at Chester. I was fortunate over the years, along with hoards of others, to spend many fun weekends with family and friends enjoying fellowship and archery. Thanks Bill Decker for your mission and we hope to continue that mission with the Camp Takula family and all the fine archers that have come and will come to make their precious memories moving forward. To quote “Big Jed”, “I just so happy!” Also want to thank all the dedicated archers who came and braved the elements to make the first Chester Classic a great one. See Y’all next year May 13, 14, 15, 2022. Had a wonderful time with everyone. Thx. More Pics to come.

Great shooting yourself! Had a blast shooting with a great bunch of folks. Only bad part was driving through Houston, I can deal with the mud but the traffic was just ridiculous.
