    Coachwhip

Came across him on the road yesterday. They are such cool snakes.

Super aggressive and lightning fast, but very cool.

We called them Red Racers when I was a kid. Have not seen one in years.

Very cool snakes. I saw one during the summer at my lease in Houston county. Only one I ever saw. Hognose snakes are cool too. Found one two weeks ago at the lease also. I picked it up and then set it back down it wasn't even scared or aggressive.

HECK NO !!!!!!! Call me sissy, scarty cat, etc. I see a snake and I'm doing my best to take it's head off or squish it. Not familiar enough with them to know what's what. I see snake, stick goes BOOM !!!!!

He was a good ways from me still, and I shot him with my Tamron 150-600.

Yes, they are amazing snakes. Very fast, and very aggressive in my experience.

If...! Easier said than done. And they are darn aggressive snakes. I only handle them with gloves on anymore.

We started seeing a lot at my lease in summer of '13. This past summer, I only saw 1 or 2. Strange. They can definately cover some ground.
