    Freezer in Garage?

No power where we live in Houston. We took everything out of the fridge and freezer in the house. Have it outside in coolers with the lids open. Will close lids when we go to bed.

My question is what about the chest freezer in the garage? Garage is part of the house with two bedrooms overhead. Garage door is not insulated. We haven't opened the chest freezer in order to conserve temp in it. I've told the wife we will check it in the morning and see. No idea what the temp is in the garage. What you guys think?

Everything in the garage freezer will be fine.

I have been monitoring my attached garage. It is hovering around 32-38* while the temps are 8-25* outside. Inside the freezer will be fine for a few days I'd bet

Don’t open it it should be good for days at least. Mine in garage shorted a few weeks ago, didn’t open it for 3 days in ~30 degrees outdoor temp and it was all good

Keep it closed. You’ll be fine for a few days.

Agreed. As cold as it is no biggie.
