Back in the 90-'s hands down the Piloncillo and the King would have been top 5. Very big deer with no high fences, no 'protein', no TTT, no DMP, no breeder releases, or any of the other crap people call management these days. Back then it was control your densities, sex ratio, and buck age structure through strictly enforced harvest management and manage your native habitat. Lots of truth to this Leopold quote: "The recreational value of game is inverse to the artificiality of its origin".

I’d like to find a 3 day hunt for my father and i rather than a lease.

Killam, Briscoe, Galvan, Pilo, Walker in no particular order are my top 5, mostly cause I like those areas the most

And there’s a lot of good ones down there that don’t get talked about, Glass ranch is a great ranch and the King also

HF except for 1.1 miles fronting HWY 83. And directly across the road from their LF portion is a HF that’s goes forever.

Faith or Comachie. I have hunted both. I am friends with the biologist that was at the Faith in the beginning. Also, Dan Friedkin has been our guest here at Lake Fork Lodge. I'd say these two are two of the top.
