I made an adjustment purple martin house, lifted a little higher. Now we have 4 pairs nesting along with several bluebirds and couple barn swallows in the wooden houses. Seems more are coming in all the time.

Saw my first bluebird yesterday. Been seeing plenty of barn swallows and martins coming through, also. This past week was a solid week for bird migrations. I had tons of indigo and painted buntings, tanagers, and Baltimore Orioles coming through here.

Question... all of mine have flown, not sure when they will start a second clutch.

Do you clean out the nest and let them build a new one??

Or leave the nest and hope they use it again??

Clean out the box. The nests are dirty, could have parasites, etc. Bag up the old nest and haul it away. This is to help prevent predators from identifying the nesting site. The BBs will often quickly rebuild and move right back in.

I've seen about half dozen on the line behind my house everyday for past couple of weeks.

Just saw the first male since the freeze. First of any bluebird since the freeze. Ya, I'm happy.

Another bird I have not seen this year is a killdeer. It may be to early for them .
