Congrats to all. I love that Salmon River country and you are so right. It's either up or down unless you are floating the river.

The old me had a few crazy times in the Seven Devils bar.

Well done, well done, both story and hunt ! That’s a unique bear with that coon mask over it face too. Please post pics of the mount when you get it back, full size I hope ?

Probably going to do half size. It has white on its chest, so I'd like to do standing naturally with a paw leaning on a tree like this.

Wife says no way every time I bring it up, so half size on a wall habitat it is. Something along the lines of below. I think it will still display the chest well. But with a piece of standing dead lodgepole pine like a small tree added at the seam of the bear and wall, maybe a piece of old deadfall it is stepping over, and a touch more moss and grass on the rock. I don't have a trophy room/man cave room, so it will be hanging about 10 ft high in my living room and be visible from the entire room and up close as you climb the stairs. I'm just happy she conceded to a bear in her living room! We do live in a log home, so it fits.

Taking all four of our bears to the taxi tomorrow after church. Can't wait to see all the finished products.
