No I just do not understand how anyone with the mental capability of signing a hunting license or the ability to load a gun could possibly "accidently" shoot a MAN CARRYING a deer on his back... But I do realize that those idiots are out there.. It's a shame.. The fella I know was killed by a idiot who made a "sound shot"!!!
Yea he just shot at some sound coming down a trail... Got off Scott free too..

Well, when you don't sit in a blind over a feeder and can't drive a side by side into the WMA...... guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

😂
Hunting the way you and I probably know it is very foreign to a lot of folks.

Not foreign to me, however I ain't big enough to carry a deer as he is, let alone heft it up on my back.

I'm pretty sure I would get shot if I tried that. After a few steps I would be bent over staggering around and wheezing and breathing hard.

The "idiots" defence would be, " Officer I was sitting there and I heard something coming down the trail. When it got closer I could hear a buck grunting and a doe making a wheezing sound. When they got closer I could see them thru the brush and the buck was on the poor little doe's back. She was staggering around but the buck would not get off of her. So BOOM.
It was a nice buck, but I felt sorry for the doe so I shot her instead!!!

Heck of a deer but I can feel the ticks on the back of my neck from just viewing it. You don't hear much about big bucks in Arkansas, how is the hunting up there?

I know a couple guys like that too. Even tried to keep up with them for a few years. I learned that I don't hunt for the challenge, or for some sort of accomplishment.

To answer your question, even though it wasn't pointed at me... I hunt for the meat, and to get away for relaxation(even though every year I make the same tired joke that I have to go back to work to get some rest).
