Guys donít get tied to your feeder right now. I went and sat in lawn chair this morning. Saw plenty of deer but only had 3 or 4 stop by feeder. Find a good tree that has whatever flavor acorns they like. I had 7 deer under a group of 3 trees. Wish I could figure out what is so special about these trees. I pushed them by throwing a ball to the dog but they came right back to those acorns

But can we do That? It's not a terrible idea. Good luck to everyone as we get to start the best time of the year tomorrow!

No we can not do that. If we are on our spot maybe just under a tree I think it’s allowed but you have to hunt your spot.

I saw 4 this morning. Took what looked like a good shot at 20 yards, but a twig/branch deflected my arrow... It was nice getting outdoors.

Nothing for me either. Did nearly smack one with the jeep on the ride home, so that is something.... I guess.

Apparently my feeder battery died 2 weeks ago. Went to hunt today and check my pics while I sat. Whole lotta nada. I guess the deer were only there for the corn and not the view.

The deer are on the acorns and pecans right now anyways. You just saved yourself some corn.

Man thatís right in the kitchen. Tough loss.
Btw if someone intends to just get rid of a deer thatís either not mature a a gold ticket or you just donít want them let me know if I donít need the meat Iíll make sure if finds someone who does, or donate it to charity.
BTW not saying this was the case with this deer.

Look like a good shot. May be too dark, and the hunter gave up too quick.

I've sat 6 mornings and 2 evenings so far. Nothing legal to shoot outside of the one mature doe. I did get to watch a young 8 point one morning which was fun. Most of the regulars I had on camera disappeared 2 days before season opened and have yet to return. Too many acorns...

You guys need to get in the stand if you can. Watched a buck chase a doe for about an hour this morning drinking coffee. She ended up running over by my back porch with me in a chair and standing about 10 feet from my dog. buck didn't care for long and came in and pushed her on. They are going to be stupid for a little while.

Iíve got the young bucks messing with the does at my house but they are having nothing to do with them yet. The bigger bucks are not even paying attention yet.

I went out on Wednesday. Deer have been hitting the feeder since I got it up and running again. They came in from a different direction and winded me though. Also got this new guy coming in right at dusk.

Went out for my second sit this afternoon. Saw a fox eating my corn and kept hearing these teenagers talking from the houses above and the talking got louder and then I see them headed for my feeder. They stopped and started smoking a bowl and after 2 of them smoked out I asked them if their parents know they burn weed? Totally freaked them out and they ran off. This was around 4, so I figured I still had some time and a chance. Nope!! Not one deer. Looked at my camera and I have absolutely no deer on camera. Thinking these kids are here a lot as itís basically their back yard. Still nice to get out.
