Default Fox in a Tree...with my new lens

Got lucky enough to grab this pic while tooling around on the lease this morning. Nice inaugural run for my new Sigma 120-300mm f2.8!

Be a nice print hanging on a wall. Something you’d see in nice office somewhere.

Holy smokes ! I was just talking about a similar story. I have a photo from my trail cam in west texas where a fox is climbing my ladder. A few days in a row he climbed to the top of the ladder to check the feeder.

Never though I would see that.

Very cool picture and you captured a very rare momemnt in time. Anyone that’s spent time in the woods really knows how rare of a pic you captured. Definitely worth while of framing.

Casey, that is a very cool shot. More than cool, given that the model for you was as inquisitive. I would definitely print that.

The issue I have with wildlife photography is the time. Most of it, generally speaking is very labor intensive and you made this inaugural shot look too easy.

Excellent shot and thank you for sharing. I always enjoy seeing your work around the forum.

I love this photo. It actually motivated me to pick up a new lens (Canon 300mm f/4 IS). We have a lot of fox on our place in Sonora and it's not uncommon to see a few during the day. They're very responsive to calling as well. I'm excited to get after them with the new lens.

Definitely a photo worthy of framing.

I have that lens. You'll love it. Great wildlife lens and would pair nicely with a 1.4x teleconverter for a 420mm f5.6.

I actually had my teleconverter on the Sigma for the shot above.

Here is one of my faves from my 300mm f4L IS.

Nailed it!

That's one of the big reasons I went with it over the the 400mm. Reviews I've read said it's still extremely sharp with the 1.4x.
