This here. I have a 6.8spc with a Bison upper and it's freakin great but the round is limited at longer ranges. I did score some Accubonds for it and can't wait to see how they do.

7.62x39- in a normal ammo world, ammo is dirt cheap. Great choice if you dont shoot long range. We stay inside of 100 or so with a thermal.

Grendel is the most versatile of the AR-15 calibers in my opinion. More effective for larger game at longer distances than most other calibers available. 6.8 would be my second choice.

Good point, OP didn't specify 15 or 10. Best bet would be AR10 in 308.
