    Turboing an LS Motor

We raced this truck Friday and it was slower than anticipated. Had originally bought a turbo set up for my red truck but it is better suited for this application. I like to document the build and we start tonight. This is what we are working with:

    2004
Aluminum 6.0 bored to a 408 ci stroker motor
    Holley Terminator X
Built 4L80e with transbrake (needs to be wired into button)
    Racing seats with Harnesses
    Back half tube chassis
    Caged
Built 9" rear end 4:11 gears w/ Eaton Locker
    Double adjustable Viking shocks
    Front end completely rebuilt

W that termi you should be able to squeeze every drop outta that setup..my friend has one on his foxbody and I almost installed it on mine...just a bit pricey for my build.

Nothing like adding a blower though... the added power is easy to pull out of that big motor. Following this!

Just curious, how much "slower" was it than you expected? I have to imagine it weighs around 4000 lbs? I have to imagine it's pretty quick relatively speaking.

Also, looking forward to the build!

Well you got the right set up going, the termi should really get you dialed in on your timing, how much boost are you gonna try to run? These aluminum blocks are finicky

A consistent 8.4. Very slow but it is a low compression motor made for boost

Have a car lift but cannot use it to pick this truck up right now. Will have to weld a pad on the back half. All stainless headers and exhaust removed. Manifolds and turbo in place for mock up.

WOW.... you are 600 lbs lighter than my track car that I have pulled over 200 lbs out of so far! That's awesome.
