Now I’m an extreme case- I keep meaning to post this up in the Keto diet thread but I was going to do a 1 or 2 day water only fast to kick into ketosis, well in our church small group that week we discussed media fasting and a couple of people said man I could never do a food fast- so I set my mind to it and did a full week 7 day water only fast- it was an incredible mental, spiritual, and physical time of renewal for me. I lost 22 pounds in 7 days- mostly eater weight bc 70% of our water comes from food- doesn’t matter how much water you drink. So in the second week, the first of eating I immediately gained 7 back- then cut another 9 between them and now. I’m actually on day 17 and down 24 pounds.

And by the way I feel fantastic! Completely reset my body. There is a lot of great info out there on 7 day water only fasts and how amazing it actually is for your body. It is definelty not easy though.... especially as I was making breakfast and dinner everyday for my family and sitting at the table with them while they ate....

I stated 17 days ago at 252 and today I am 228.... but when I do a diet I am **** about it, I weigh all of my food and very specifically prep all lunches for the week in ziplock bags

Absolutely, but it's not a magic solution in that regard. For the last 2 years since I started the treatment, I have been in the gym 5 days a week. I've gone from 290 and almost 30% body fat to 245 and 13.5% body fat. You'll get a lot more out of it if you put a lot more into it.

Im a pretty big guy at 6'4" and 230 lbs and she started me off taking half of a 50 mg tablet 3 times a week.

Does this seem pretty average? Or should I look into going and seeing a specialist here in Austin somewhere?

Normal dose. Why didn't she prescribe HCG if you are worried about fertility issues? FWIW I never took HCG and got my wife pregnant 2 times in 19 months.

I wasnt worried about current fertility issues. But when I asked if the test injections that she initially recommended would affect sperm count for when its time to start trying in the future she said they would and that was when she recommended Clomid.

Mind you I walked into the clinic that day for a normal physical with bloodwork because of fatigue. They took my blood, ran it through their machine, and got me a prescription all in about 45 minutes. There wasn't exactly much time for me to research what all options were out there.

No, but I have found that its best to keep on a routine, take it around the same time every day. I was given 50mg to take every other day but take 25 every day. Clomid doesn't make test nor is it test, it just tricks you brain into making more but its never constant, at least not for me. I crashed hard even on it Sunday and am still pretty down but its the only option for me right now. Hoping in the next couple months to get on the real thing.

I did test for about 6 months or so in 2014 I think, got off- have gotten pregnant twice since then and am now back on for what it’s worth.

For those of you who have had problems with your insurance company paying for you T. I started at the Rockwall Low T Clinic early last summer and had great results, but I was paying $20 a week, which is not bad, but I had an insurance change and had to stop going. Due to insurance change I was directed to a new Dr. That Dr. did a blood test and determined I was in deed in need of T. The prescription was then sent to my pharmacy and shortly after denied by BCBS. I was told by BCBS they would not pay for my T due to my T number being about average, 250, LOL. I then sought out the route of paying cash for the drug. I found a local pharmacy that would sell me a 10ml vial of 200mg T for $75. I have recently found that goodRX.com has the same medication, and that Walgreens has to price them at $42 a vial. So for .5ml of 200mg T that I take once a week it cost me just over $2 for the medication and syringe.

This is interesting. I have BCBS and they are foot dragging with me as I try to get my first prescription filled. My testosterone levels were below 100 after two blood tests. Send you a PM.

I have BCBS as well and after being on the pellets for almost 3 years now....with them the whole time....they denied my last claim. They said they will cover the pellets but not the procedure to insert them.....how ridiculous is that????? I am now doing self injections and using a pharmacy through my Dr, I get 3 months worth of testosterone and all the syringes that I need for $72 without even using my insurance.
