      I tried some goose feathers a couple of times and the durability seemed a little lacking to me also. Of course that was 25+ years ago, maybe they make em tougher these days.

        I slaughtered a bunch of roosters today and as Im scalding them for plucking...darn feathers were super hydrophobic during dunking until I shook the heck out of them and undunk then dunk then undunk then dunk then undunk...in 145 degree water. However, Cock feathers dont weather por nada. Now I know where that oil meal scum on my dunk water comes from.

        My eyeballs and mind started to wander towards my ducks.
