#7 Lorena (3A-D1) will open up with Franklin (#1 in 3A-D2) and the following week with China Spring (#7 in 4A-D2). Gonna be tough two weeks. Dave Campbell has Lorena picked to lose out in the semi's this year to Vanderbilt Industrial. Think that may be stretching it a bit. They replace 1 on the O-line and multiple skill players return on offense. QB1 was injured most of the year with a dislocated knee cap suffered in 2 a days and a broken tibia in first start back from the previous injury. D-line and DB's should be good but the LB's are very young.

Good luck to all this season and hoping for no injuries to whomever has family playing.

Going to be watching a bit of 6 man this year since that's what they have at the boy's school. I can't stomach professional, and with NIL, college is pretty much gonna be professional minor leagues. I'm going to learn how 6 man works, seems fun with a bunch of homeschoolers and christian schools going at it.

DCTF page seems to be down. Max Preps apparently doesn't do pre season polls. Wimberley is at 4 on the only poll I could find. Does it really matter in 4A though? Carthage is of course 1 in that poll.

Well that time is upon us. The Pirates will take on Goldwaithe tonight at Pirate field. Crawford will be a little short handed on defense do to some disciplinary actions towards a few players that made a tad ignorant decision. Never the less, should be a very physical game.

Best of luck to all your teams.

Thanks rwc, we had our opener last night against Gladewater. Dave Campbell has Gladewater at #3 in 3ad1 and gilmer at #2 in 4ad2. Gilmer had to sit some starters first half for disciplinary measures but they came alive the second half and won 42-14.

Lorena is hosting Franklin in what should be a great game. Ready to see the kid sling it around the field to all those receivers that Lorena has.

Hoping for an injury free senior year for him after the leg injuries last year.

Good luck to everyone tonight.

Hallettsville vs Shiner tonight! Going to be a good one, I always look forward to our friendly rivalry with Shiner. I met some Carthage fans last year at Jerry World last year when Hallettsville played in state. They were all great people. They have a great program there.

There is a Mexican food place on the southbound access road in the little strip center by the Bush's chicken. They have a happy hour for beer and margaritas on Friday nights. Food is good.

Good luck to y'all tonight. Hoping for a good game from both teams.

Southlake Carrol put a whipping on Highland Park at Jerry’s World last night 45-21. It was televised on ESPNU. Let’s just say that Southlake found their new qb last night. With their #1 in the nation qb Quinn Ewers abandoning them to leave his senior season and enroll at Ohio State to try to capitalize on his name- they didn’t miss a beat. The new qb a Junior completed 16/24 passes for 260+ yards and three touchdowns. They looked really good. Man I Love Texas High School Football! Welcome back and good luck to all of you who have a dog in the fight this year!

Lorena is 3A-1. Just got back from watching our opening game. Blanco lost to Davenport. Kids played hard, we are dealing with Covid and injuries. We should have a good squad as we move into district. Get better for next week.
