Come on.. Still owe you some beers for an old life vest. Life has been busy the last 6 months or so.

I'm still kind of shocked when I stand in mine with a cold one, thinking back to what it looked like only a month and half earlier. Be patient, the process is kind of grueling at times...but it all comes together in the end. We lost like 12 days due to weather...but I will never complain of rain. Feast or famine.Click image for larger version

Flash coat of Gunite to stop any more cavenins. Next step is rebar

Got to be careful with the gunite. They wrapped plastic around the back of my house when they sprayed it but it was really windy and still settled on one side of the house

Wow they are going to have to fill in a lot in the tanning deck area.

For sure, along with a couple of other areas. I was surprised when he said they just make it up with gunite, seems like it adds a lot but it will be stronger than a dirt backfill I suppose.

Congratulations y’all will get years of enjoyment from it. We have had three and all were enjoyed very much. Contemplating another one but being retired we are still on the fence.

I cannot tell you how many kids have been in that pool, how many parties we’ve had or how many hours of enjoyment it’s been responsible for. Now, those twins are gonna be seniors in high school and have their friends over often. Their older sisters now bring their own kids over to swim on a weekly basis. And don’t get me started on the amount of fun that my wife and I have had in the hot tub...and may again tonight.[emoji4]. If you have half as much fun as we’ve had with our pool, then the money spent won’t mean a thing in the long run.

                              My exact thoughts.

If you could put a price on the joy you and your family received that pool paid you back.

I feel the same about mine.

To the op keep posting pics. I love these threads.

                              And congrats on the pool.
