                        I looked it up, $27.75 in 1902 is worth about $850 in today’s money.

                          For an LC Smith, that would still be a bargain. I have an oldLC Smith hammer gun with Damascus barrels too.

                              I've used one of those 1897 Winchester pumps at a turkey shoot. They were quite popular with many shooters. And through a great tight pattern at 27 yards with 7.5 shot.
