what bow for a 5 year old?

My grandson wants to shoot a bow like grandpa does. He is close to 5. Average size for his age.

I looked at the Bear Archery Youth Brave Compound Bow Set at academy. Anyone have experience with that bow?

Other bows that I should look at?

I got my son a Diamond atomic when he was 4. It’s a good little bow

The Braves are pure garbage. Atomic or a mini genisis.

I looked at the atomics. Looks to be a couple different ones. I like the Youth Diamond Archery Atomic Bow Package 2018

I did see the Genisis. will look at those as well.

You can make arrows out of ¼" dowel.

Got a pse mini burner I believe. Decent adjustments haven’t shot it in awhile because we broke all the arrows

Don't have experience with the newer youth bear bows but the old school bear bows with the wood arrows and round field tips were great for my boys

At that age and a little older both mine were shooting cheap fiberglass long bows from academy. They even shot a lot of 3D shoots with them before they moved up to compound.
