I've heard a lot about that river, but those make me want to go even more. I like the hint of color you left. Awesome as usual!

Dang Russell, that really was an expensive trip. The photos are breathtaking though. Hope you recover soon!

Great pics Russell! Too bad the 5D mark II doesn't have a waterproof housing.

Excellent Photos as usual Russell...you can capture the moment in any activity with your photography skill, and it is most enjoyed.

              You had scuba gear also?
              Yes sir very "exspansive" trip.
Been wanting to run the Deivls river too but the big talkers at work have no eggs. Couple years ago got all ph #s and cost to run it. No eggs, no eggs.
              Great photographs.

Great story and pics! Great adventures sure can be expensive sometimes, but those are the ones we remember most - makes for the best "around the campfire" stories when we are old and gray.....

Thanks guys... I really appreciate all of the comments.

By the way, Hawg. I have a waterproof housing for the camera.

no1hogkiller... Yep, I had scuba gear as well.

                    Spill it!

Your pics brought the 'hot and dry' home.

I see in some of the pics some slight vignetting -- is it in the lens or is it in the processing?

beautiful pictures, and one of those trips that you'll never forget! In fact it's one of those trips that when bad things happen on other trips, you'll remember THIS one and think......it COULD be worse!

Great shots. There's always gonna be some bad with the good. Sounds like you had more than your share of bad this time though.
