One caliber/gun...for North America?

.338 win mag hands down. Have used 250gr for africa and carious other hunts but have 160gr that used for sheep.

.300 Win Mag with 180gr Barnes TTSX would be my choice without hesitation.

If it was one caliber, I would go 308 as it has lots of variations in bullet eight for the various game.

If it was one gun, I would go with a Savage 24 - 308 over 12ga as that should cover anything I would hunt.
