El Paso Getting Hammered with COVID-19

3100 new cases yesterday, and 22,000 active cases. 31% of the population is currently infected! Holy Schnike!!

Correction: Not 31%. Closer to 3% and the numbers include the county, not just the city of El Paso. Still a bunch of people sick.

That’s crazy. We haven’t had 12k cases total in our county.

They should reach herd immunity soon.

Math error. County population is close to 900,000.
So less than 3%. And a significant number of these positives are from Mexico.
I think there have been over 100,000 people tested in last 7-10 days.
Every one is in a panic and running to get tested for no reason.

I don't know for sure. I googled up an article from a month ago that said the people aren't taking the pandemic seriously. They aren't cooperating with the contact tracing and not isolating once they are exposed.

                        22,000/841,184=.0261 ...or 2.61%

Just move that little dot 2 numbers to the right and you’ve got your answer.

By the way 841,184 is the current population of El Paso County.
