Taking defensive driving course for insurance discount

    Got a question.

I like to take the defensive driving certification course every three years because I get a decent discount on my insurance for doing it.

My wife doesn't want to do it because she thinks she wont be able to take it again if she gets a traffic ticket.

Is this true or can you just get a course certification from a different DD course administrator for the traffic ticket.

    Anyone with experience with this?

    Thanks

I had this happen back in the 1990s. I could only take the course one time during the 3 year period. "Differed judification" was my other option during the three year period, in most circumstances. Also outside the 3 year. It's like a probationary period. As long as you don't get any more violations during that time, then it's not reported to the state. And usually dismissed. But the fine is still there to be applied to court costs and services.

The fish are biting and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!
