    Christmas tree lights....???

Can anyone explain how these **** things work? How do you fix a strand when half the lights work and half dont? Has to be a fairly simple way to check/fix them....... I dont have a lot of patience trying to mess with them to get them to work. Any of yall tree light experts ???

    Bad bulb normally,
It will typically be the first dead one !!

    Good luck

Could be one of those little fuses in the plug possibly.

Buy a Light Keeper Pro if your tree uses incandescent bulbs. It actually works

They are wired in series. If you've got lights out but some are lit on the same strand, a bulb is bad.

          1. Cuss, enough to get on Santa's naughty list
          2. Plug in. Look for where bulbs go dead.
          3. Put new bulb in the 1st dead one. See if more light up.
          4. If the above doesn't work, cuss some more and throw them away.

Throw it away and go buy a new strand.

That is altogether too many steps. Just start at step 4.

This is my normal protocol......I will fiddle with a bulb or two and then say screw it.....

I sell Christmas trees and Christmas lights for a living, and I don’t have the patience to try to repair them.

The absolute best thing you can do for an incandescent lit Christmas tree is to replace bad bulbs religiously. When a bulb goes out it increases the load on the remaining bulbs and begins to shorten their life span. Once more than a handful of bulbs go out on a strand, I’m done. I get a new strand and light over the damaged

BTW- I have some overstock we are moving a great prices. Like a 9’ slim tree I bought with my employee discount for $700 we are selling delivered for $465ish…. So if you decide you just want a new one, let me know

RIP them off the tree and toss em in the trash. Go buy new ones and install. Next year repeat!

I’m definitely in the trash them camp - but no hear good things about the product mentioned.

I handed the tree lighting duties over to my son. I just sit back with a beer and watch him cuss at them.

As soon as a prelit tree does that in my house, it is going to the trash. I do not have the patience to try and hunt down the issue.
