I grew up catching glimpses of that show when I was barely old enough to have a conscious memory. Occasionally in the mid to late 1980's I would occasionally be allowed to stay up late enough for my dad to come home from the police department shift he worked as a young cop in his mid 20's. My mother at that time would stay up and make him home made guacamole and they would watch Cheers. Later in my life I would watch it myself. RIP.
