Default Subway brisket sandwich?

Has anyone tried it?

I eat at Subway for lunch several times a week, and the picture of the new brisket sandwich looks great on the menu. But get to the front of the line and the brisket looks like dry, discolored jerky... online reviews are pretty good, but I can’t bring myself to try it. It can’t be real smoked brisket, right?

Bahahahaha. More like dunking Brisket like into hot beef broth and serving it up. Might be good. I'll stick to the hormone injected Turkey. LOL

I'm not sure what it really is but it's good comparing it to the other sandwiches from there. I eat there quite a bit and tried it once. It's actually not bad for what it is.

If your looking for a brisket sandwich, subway does not mind. Think about it men, you get what you pay for. Like going to Taco Bell for authentic Mexican food.

But, I also don't expect the best Brisket I ever ate when I order it either. All about expectations.

Subway makes you a bread sandwich with a hint of whatever meat you choose.

Easy to say double meat. I prefer other sandwich places but I say double meat at those as well. Subways are everywhere and **** sure beat fast food joints.

Subway sucks. Y'all have Larry's Giant Subs there? Good stuff.

Heck, Blimpies is a good old school sub chain.

This right here. Not terrible but not great. Overpriced. I'll get a brisket sandwich from a bbq joint for around the same price or less and stick to other sandwiches when at subway.

Used to be a really good sammich place down in Kemah before they started the 146 expansion, Neptune Subs. They were ďacquiredĒ due to the expansion and I havenít been there in a long time but they used to make a really good sandwich.

I just canít bring myself to hit up Subway these days. Cheap cold cuts, most veggies arenít fresh (to be nice), prices are only slightly cheaper than other chains that are better. These days I drive directly past 4 Subways, with a 5th one only a slight detour from being a straight shot, just to drive 15 minutes from my office and hit up Jersey Mikeís.

Try one sometime if you havenít already.

If they are so horrible why are their so many around Texas. We even have one in Goldthwaite, with a population of 1800, and they stay busy. Maybe because not many eating joints around here.

Store volume is a sign of good food?

By that metric, McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts are good food too.

I would agree. Subway uses very low quality food products with young kids with no concern about freshness. Subway is a desperate stop for me, there are way better sandwich options out there. That is if there are options.

Why are there so many? Subway is a very cheap franchise to get into and encourage small town franchises. Most subway owners own multiple stores as the margin is really narrow on just one. Ease of purchase...

Haven’t tried it, but maybe I will. A high bar was set with Firehouse Subs smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket sammich that all others fall short of. That one will change your life

I didn't expect to get so many replies. Thanks y'all. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the sandwich looks sketchy...

I'll try it next time just because I hope I'm wrong; and it's delicious. Will report back.

Love me some chicken/bacon ranch. And the seafood sensation.

Very tasty and too pricey-about ten bucks. That said, I'd rather get a brisket sandwich from a real BBQ joint.

All the negative comments about Subway surprise me, it is a fast food place, not a gourmet restaurant. It is just a sandwich. And if they do something wrong you could have corrected it since you are standing there watching them make it...lol

Not really defending them. If you want a quick, somewhat healthy sandwich go there, if you want a gourmet sandwich go someplace that makes them....lol

Because the business model isnít very good and it takes a dozen or so to make a decent living because margins are crap and royalties are high. So like DQ they set up shop in small towns where your choice is Subway or nuthin

Well itís ****ty for even fast food. Jersey Mikeís, Schlotzkyís are better. Heck my 11 yr old makes a sammich on par with Subway with stale bread and 2 week old cold cuts

This is a baddddd argument, just because thereís a franchise there doesnít mean itís serving an above average product.... marketing/metrics/demographics are studies that reveal amazing results when it comes to franchising national brands
