Anybody using bulk sacks of cowpeas for protein in spring/summer? I’m looking at adding protein to my operation and this seems like a decent option.

I can’t get a single pea to grow before my deer strip the stalks. Not sure if the buds have protein or not ?
If you decide to grow them, look into methods that keep the critters from eating the buds.
Can’t understand how some deer haven’t touched them ? Mine basically fight for them.
Real easy to plant [emoji271]. I cast them, wet the area then roll them over, which also firms up the plot soil and roots.
