Coolbot controller and a 10-12 btu ac works great in a well insulated room. We used old walk-in cooler panels.

How many deer are you planning on hanging at a time?

I've had good luck with a side by side fridge and a 12v fan to circulate air.

You're only getting 1 maybe two in there though.

Every lease needs one ! Especially STX.
                  Dad had a 4x8x8 walk-in cooler on a trailer when I was a kid.
Come from an convenience store I think.

                    Coolbot

Just look them up. They work great, for years.

I'm building one now.... mine is 8'x10' framed with 2x6 walls.... using closed cell insulation, using a 12 btu AC wall unit with a coolbot. Should have it finished in the next 2 weeks. I'm putting a skinning pole in front of it as well. Hope it works as well as I think it will. The land we hunt is at our home or I probably wouldn't have made the investment. It will end the trips to the processor (18 miles away) due to hot weather.

Should work great, the 12 BTU is the way to go!

Another fan of the cool bot here. Used it to convert an old feed shed with a window unit.

If anyone is interested, there have been a couple here in north tx for sale. One was a nice small commercial unit on wheels I believe. I can try to track down more info if anyone is interested.

My boss also has the cooler box off the back of a small meat delivery truck. Best I remember, his wife wants it gone. Might get it for just the time and fuel it takes to come pick it up.
