BOB’s game management skills have always been horrible but yesterday was off the charts! Up 3 tds and kick a field goal, fake punt and crappy defense was a recipe for disaster. Cal needs to clean house today, he won’t because he likes the money rolling in!

Nope and surprisingly I honestly havent missed it. So many other things to do instead of sitting on the coach watching it. I dont live under a rock so I am aware of what is going on with the team. It isnt that hard to look at BOB's results during his tenure to know it is time for a change. He had his chance and the Peter Principle is in full effect with him. Im sure McNair will drag it out the way Jerrah did with Garrett but hey them Billionaires are smart guys. Btw, when I heard what was happening yesterday(all over facebook), I did have a pretty good laugh. Oilers 2.0.

OK the fake punt was stupid...we all know that....no balls on the 4th and 1 when you were dominating the game....ok you ARE STILL UP 24-0....

What I want an answer to is when you are down 17 points ( 3 scores ) on the 45 yd line...with 10 mins left....WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU CONSIDERING PUNTING? Your QB had to talk you out of it, cameras on the sidelines showed you to be confused as hell and had to call a timeout to think about it......

Just a complete moron of a coach with ZERO game management skills, I really believe he has too much on his plate and cannot multitask the play calling, head coaching and GM responsibilities.

Get rid of him already....when someone shows you who they are.....believe them

Hinch is looking for work, maybe go after him.

Funny how the Obrien cronies are keeping quiet.

I was in college when the 35-3 happened. Some of us that watched the game together that day got together yesterday to watch the game.

What a disgrace. Again.

I don't think Bill caused Watson to constantly through high passes. Reminded me of DAC,. I don't think he had anything to do with the receivers dropping a bunch of passes. Looked like they had a good game plan was just not executed correctly. I did not like the punt call but if it had worked could have changed the game. Just saying.

First team in NFL history to have a 20 point or more lead and lose by 20 pts or more...

If that isnt enought to get you fired after 6 years of mediocrity....Cal McNair is an effing idiot

My understanding is that the Houston Texans used video feed to steal signals. They were able to take the 24-0 lead. Then the cameras broke down or something like that. . All joking aside.....the Coach stays because he has won the division many times.

People are sick of div titles ..
And it seems like every game is won on a fluke of a call choice rather than a plan..
I like bob.. but..its time...
Problem with that is... who do you get that will pick up where bob left off and not start over from the bottom...

my question is why do teams only fire their coach when they are terrible? when you have teams that are close with lots of talent maybe new ideas would take them to the next level that the time for new coaches! IMO

if they do keep BoB which they will , we should get wade phillips back as DC and get a good young OC and then a guy that does nothing but manage the game clock ..then BoB would be free to just say that’s not my job and cuss out our fans Lol !

Package deal, Nick Casario at gm and Josh McDaniels as head coach/OC. At least McDaniels is a dynamic playcaller. No way that would ever happen though.

Iím good. I donít think we see Cal move on from Bob this year, no use getting worked up, Iíll get on board with anything when and if the time comes for any type of change.

I think Caserio is brought in after the draft still.

Iím not going to sit here and debate anyone. Everyone is a MMQB with 20/20 vision on calls. I was just as upset as most of yíall with the calls. Would have rather seen them go for the 4 and 1 and more points. Iím also not the type of person that gives all the praise to the players when they are good and the coaches when they are bad.

Just stay positive. We improved on last year. 20+ wins last 2 years with a 3rd (2nd year) QB. He is in year 2 really with the torn ACL as a rookie. Deshaun leaves so much on the table for everything he does good there is as much bad. For some reason will not check the ball down to the back, still has trouble stepping up into the pocket, He still does not diagnose well. I think itís tough and blame should be placed on both the play caller/coach and Watson. Bob has got to go back to a half the field offense that Watson ran at Clemson, or at least incorporate it more, more up tempo and less option routes. I think we see a little more of both next year. Watson will be in year 4 of the offense. Even the skilled vets say Bobs offense takes a good 3 yrs to fully understand without thinking. That in itself is not something I really understand as to why he makes it so complex and is a definite fault. One of many he has.

Call me a homer or whatever. We improved the team in all facets, finally had no name guys making big plays and played well in big games save a few instances. Still the up and down play thatís maddening to watch, slow starts, bad clock management. Bad play calls. Texans football but they improved.

Still have 2nd,3rd, 4th, 5th and 2 7ís this next year in the draft plus 2 comps( 3rd and 4/5) for the 2020 draft.

Iím out on McDaniels. Dude has failed in his past coaching, say he is a control freak, has had lots of interviews and still not closing the deal. I could get behind urban Meyer or something innovative but no need to go down that route until Cal speaks.

I appreciate your commitment Tshelly. How did the team improve though? 10-6 and one of the worst losses in NFL history in the playoffs. They are no better today than they ever have been. With as many weapons on the offense, they were still the 14th or 15th ranked offense in the league. O’Brien looks lost at times. You can blame Watson or whatever but it comes down to scheme. Defense was as bad as I’ve ever seen with no clear path forward. There are major deficiencies at pass rush and in the secondary. No draft picks to rebuild, for two years! Just have to hope they hit on middle round draft picks. O’Brien mortgaged the future to “win now”, but forgot to win. The stars aligned for them this year and they choked, such a **** embarrassment. The same thing will happen next year, they’ll get to the playoffs, and lose unless they play an inferior team or a back up qb. He’s been here long enough and hasn’t done anything besides a win a few divisions in at the time, a pretty crappy division. I want to at least feel like they have a shot to win it all. Never will happen with this current regime. They may always be competitive but BOB doesn’t have what it takes to take them to the next level. We’ve seen it over and over.

They lost in the AFC divisional round. One win better than last year. They beat a really good buffalo team. They lost to the AFC favorite at home, they were -10 going in. People act like we were supposed to win. Us last weekend was Patrick maholmes last year. All offense, no defense. Andy Reid is a 10-10 coach in the play offs. Good coaches will have ups and downs. W
Special teams were tops in the league.

I do agree. We regressed in defense. Not on board with the Clowney trade but it still got us two impact players for the foreseeable future. The Texans will spend most all offseason re building the defense. Watt getting hurt killed any chance of a stable defense.

The offense stayed about the same stat wise. Lost starting running back week 1. Greatly improved the Offensive line and all skill players. Our offense goes as Watson goes. There are players wide *** open that he misses or doesnít see all the time. People placing no blame on Watson need to learn more about the xís and oís.

We are missing a 1st round and 3 round next year. A 1 and 2, the next. We will trade someone to get in the top 2 next year.
We are definitely receiving another 3rd for mathiue and was on track for another 3rd for Kareem Jackson until he was suspended last two games. It may be a 5th. Saying there are no picks is just wrong. Tunsil is the top young left tackle in the game. We have 8 **** draft picks next year.

We will have to sign tunsil, Watson to long term deals first this offseason. The hopefully reader.

21 Rush attempts versus 51 passes tells me the whole story. Especially when KC has one of the worst rush defenses in the league. When you are up (by pure luck by the way), you run the ball to run the clock! The fact that they didn't exploit that is inexcusable.

Also doesn't help when you let them score three touchdowns in 3 1/2 minutes either. Poor coaching and execution. They looked defeated even when the game was tied, they gave up.

I completely understand the folks responses about BOB's success. I ask this question to the people that think he should stay. Do you think LSU would have won the championship this year if Les Miles was still the coach?

I've watched this team since the beginning and I've just never been able to buy-in. I'm not sure why. Oh, I remember. It's the organization. Terribly run and BOB is the icing on the cake. No concept of time management, burns timeouts faster than my 10 yr old on Madden and his overall surly and grouchy demeanor make him hard to like. The stupid play calling is pretty consistent too. I'd love to see him out the door, but sadly it will not happen. It's sad really because we're wasting the prime years of some amazing athletes.
