Default Covid Incident at Doctors today

I had to take my Mom of 87yrs old to her Doctor today for her 6 month check up. As most know I'm her caretaker, stroke a few years back. Anyway Doctor comes in and said see you haven't had your Vaccine shot yet, my Mom said no and not taking one either. Doctor said your well over 65 so you need the shot, people are dying from not taking the vaccine and the ones that take it are not dying, so let's go ahead and get today, this is where I step in, we had a pretty good little talk. Told Doctor she is not taking it, its her choice and you should not pressure her to do so, Doc. said people are dying from the virus and the folks like you that are not taking it are the ones dying, told her people die all the time, its just the media that wants you to think all the people that's dying is the ones not getting vaccine shot for Covid. Finally just told her were not going to see eye to eye on this and end of story, got my Mom and we left. I know this is a serious issue now days, but its still America now and we have freedom of choice and speech. And like I say, if you want the shot fine and I'm happy for you, but don't make it out like your a bad person if you don't want the Vaccine.

God Bless All

I have to wonder what these doctors gain by pushing this vax so hard.

Doctors hate dealing with me, I don't do well with the "god syndrome" many of them are afflicted with...that being said their job is to give medical advice that they believe to be accurate and in our best interest, our job is to decide if we want to play along.

Good for you. And you are correct - it is against the law for anyone to coerce or force anyone to take a vaccine that is not approved.

There is way too much hokey crap with this entire virus deal. Every death being a covid death, & almost none from the flu seems suspect to me. The lies about HCQ & pushing experimental vaccines almost to the point of SS tactics, a litte too much BS for me.

He's advocating for what he believes to be correct and trying to do the best he can for his patients. If she doesn't want to get it, he should just move on with the rest of the exam.

I have come to realize that the doctors don't "know" much except what the pharmaceutical companies tell them. I have an old buddy (we are in our 70's) that is an ER doctor, blood and guts. I asked him about the vaccine and all he could say was what he was told, and said so. Nobody really knows what this so-called vaccine will do. I've had friends get both shots and later die from covid.
My VA doc asked me, but did not pressure me at all.

There is not any kickback to giving the vaccine. They get $18 for giving the injection from the insurance. Some docs just want the patients to understand the severity that the virus can cause. It is everyone’s choice if they want to get it or not, but don’t be offended if your parents hear this at each office visit going forward for the next year. Will be difficult to find a internal medicine doctor that will not give you the same speech. Why, they have seen some of their patients die from complications from the virus

Good for you. I had a similar incident with a female doctor telling me I couldn't get PSA tests because I was too young. Then she tries to tell me I need a flu shot. I said lady, I haven't had a shot in 20 years.

Found out today the father in law of a guy I work with was sent to the ER with fever and strokes, brain bleed 4 days after the vaccine. In coma and expecting to die at
Anytime. Of course the DR’s said it’s unrelated but was perfectly fine before the shot.

My dad had a stroke 14 days ago and is currently in an in-patient rehab facility. I think he has the potential for a nearly complete recover in the physical aspect. However, I am concerned about some of the neurological changes I’ve seen.

Would you be willing to discuss your experience with me via PM or other method? Will completely understand if you prefer not to share.

It’s happening to 30-somethings too. I went in for my yearly physical, doc interrogated me about why I refuse the shot. After the third or fourth question I finally just got up and walked out. Why would I take health advice from someone like this…. She followed me down the hall talking and I told her she can keep the copay (which, I didn’t have one but wasn’t thinking straight).

If anyone has recommendations on a good PCP in San Antonio, I’m open.

My wife's baby brother's father in-law died from a massive heart attack the day after his second shot. Not sure if it was related, they didn't waste the money on an autopsy that they likely wouldn't have gotten an honest answer on.

Anyone can have an auto accident, the greatest killer in America besides the bogus covid numbers. Anyone can be shot by a crackhead for $5. Many ways to die in this world and nothin we can do about them. I'm with others that the info about Covid is so discombobulated that it is really anyone's guess whether it is real or not!
I'm 65 and have survived 46 yrs in a chemical plant, playin with the chemicals that can kill ya. Not really ready to die but I think I'll take my chances alongside the freeway idiots and crackheads.

My 17yr old son’s pediatrician asked if he/we were vaccinated during his annual physical. Told him we were not and never would. You would have thought I called his wife a name. He tried to tell me it was perfectly safe. So I asked him about the deaths, side effects, Bells Palsy, etc. being reported on the CDC website.

He tried to give me “you can’t believe everything you hear”. I quickly shot back that we can’t believe the CDC website? He tried to explain over and over it was safe and I shot down everything he tried to throw out.

Told the wife that’s the last time he’ll go to that doctor’s office…..BTW, it was Cook’s Children.
