Default 25 lb TX bobcat

I just finished this up for the lodge. Was a pretty big cat although the pose doesn't show that off as much. Wanted to do something with a little more action. There will be a flying turkey in front of it.

Looks great but that blue/green plant needs to be something different.... looks like something my grandmother used to put at the bottom of bouquets.

You obviously havenít seen the cactus at the ranch. Itís an almost identical match and cat was killed right next to one. They might be called century cactus but thanks for you feedback.

I believe theyíre called Century Plants. Once they bloom they die.

Beautiful mount, and plant!

I would expect nothing less First time I used this style of eyes and not a big fan of the expression they give. What other specific issues do you see?

There’s a lot that looks off.

YOU mounted that? I’ve never seen your cats. But I’ve seen your other work. Usually top notch!

I critique but I couldn’t do any better.

Edit. I’ll elaborate. Nose. Ears. Legs look scrawny. May be the form. It’s very different.

I think the whole head looks a little flat, hard to say exactly what, but something looks just a tad bit off.

Now the deer heads I have you've done are absolutely amazing! Best ones on my wall by far.

It's hard enough to pull off a good cat mount! Throw in a, crazy, sneaking cat form on some rocks, almost impossible!!! You did a really good job on the mount considering what it is. I agree with something in the head area looking out of place. I think it could be the way the body is positioned and the head being turned up. Not sure..... But it doesn't look bad by any stretch of the imagination!

How does a 25lb cat shrink down to just a 5 lb size?
