Electrical question or needed in Austin

Replacing a pool booster pump. Instructions talk about L1 and L2. Does it matter if that's the black wire or red wire?

Willing to pay someone to swing by who knows what they are doing.

Call me 512-9sixsix-2934 and walk me through this

Pumps can/will run backwards if wired wrong. I dunno if black or red makes that difference.

Black/Red should be your 2 legs of 120v making 240v total. Those shouldn’t matter between the 2.

Doesn’t matter what color is terminated on L1 or L2. As stated above you have a 240v single phase motor and it won’t run backwards.

It will work either way. You need to know which phase your breakers are on.

Starting at the top it goes A B A B down to the bottom. Odd number circuits on left, even on right.

Generally speaking A phase would be black and B phase would be red.
