College Football Summer Ramp Up...
Gonna be a wild ride, that much is certain! I sure never thought we’d be here right now…
I apologize to those gents who I harassed directly earlier, not a good look with some blood pressures already in the red. Weird times, and you have my apologies.
I’ll use more tact, if you’ll use a narrower paint brush, how bout that…
Should be pretty fun moving forward, especially Texas and ou’s road games in conference the next year or two…

SEC has been talking about going to a pod type system for a while, but needed expansion to make it work. Seems like 4 pods of 4 teams. Exact make up of the pods is yet to be determined. My guess is choice of who went into A&M's pod was part of getting the Aggies to buy into the deal.
POD #1:
Mizzou
A&M
LSU
tu
POD #2:
OU
Arky
Ole Miss
Miss St
POD #3:
Bama
Auburn
Tenn
Kentucky
POD #4:
Florida
SCar
Vandy
Georgia
You play everyone in your pod each year and rotate through the other pods so you play every SEC school 1 of 3 years. If they go to a 9 game SEC schedule then add in a permanent "rivalry" game from one of the other pods. When you play that teams pod in the rotation you would pick up a game from one of the other pods in it's place.
I think the 9 game schedule with the permanent rival makes the most sense as it makes the SEC the most money.
The comments from Tom Herman last year make a lot more sense now. Everyone was kind of caught off guard by that at the time, but my guess is that's when the initial inquiry was going to the SEC.

No doubt, on brand.
“If Texas A&M is really that mad, I’m sure the folks in charge know that the SEC has no exit fee and no grant of rights.
Of course, the SEC has no exit fee because it doesn’t need one.”
