Pray, load ammo, lift weights, play with the dog, do something with family. Not necessarily in that order.

I got nothing but a few bourbon

Does it work, no. Yea, you get to a point you're done, but in the end, you still need to deal with what brought you to the point of the bad day.

Take a deep breath, pray, and give yourself a break to figure it out.

Brother, I've been few a lot of them the last year or 2. Marriage failed, wife stopped coming home, loneliness as a result of all that. Top it off with the crappy weather lately being stuck in the house, and it seems to keep piling on.

All that said, spend time with my kids and grandkids. Hang out with friends. Talk to someone close occasionally, pray. A LOT. And know that tomorrow is a new day and things WILL get better.

Easier said than done, but if you believe it, it will happen. Prayers out for you for whatever you're dealing with.

I go kill somethin or catch somethin.

I try not to have bad days but sometimes it happens. I've seen real bad days and know people that are currently going through bad times. Every day I step out of bed and walk out the front door is a good day no matter how much money is in the bank or what I don't have in life. I'm healthy, I can walk, talk and function like any other human being. I know people that can't say that. I have a job and I've been on the other side of it so I don't complain about work. I'm alive.....I got a lot of good people waitin on me that ain't. They'd want me to be happy. They'd want me to live my life the best I can every day until the day I see them again. So I will.

Prayer, alone time shooting my bow. Crown with DP.
I seldom have really bad days anymore. I've had enough serious looks at possible death that I've concluded every day is a gift. Even the tough ones.

Sometimes I will drink a bit, not like day after day, just one occasion usually. Sometimes. I like to shoot and focus on making the most of the shots, other times blast the crap out of ****. Then other times, I like to go hunting by myself, sit out in the middle of nowhere by myself and think about stuff. Then really realize how much I love being outdoors by myself with the peace and quite, no BS, no competition. Just sitting watching nature and thinking how I could easily handle moving to some place way out in the middle of nowhere and living there for the rest of my life, with little contact with other people. Live off of the land. I get to liking that idea a lot. I really would love to move to some very remote area of Alaska, say FTW, then stay there for the rest of my life. But then there is my wife, who said absolutely not. If she is ever not around, that's probably where I will go.

Pour a stiff drink, dim the lights, crank up the sing-a-long tunes. Pause, stop, repeat.

Alternatively, substitute the tunes for a phone call to an old buddy to talk about better times.

Currently too young and ignorant to know how to deal with a bad day, or even a bad moment. Had one at the end of my day today. I will say, however, I am starting to learn. Had a good conversation with DRT the other day, got a few things out of it. Reading these perspectives helps. Guess I grew up not having enough bad days to know how to effectively deal with them.

I haven't had a bad day in almost 14 years. Seriously, I have been through some serious times of drought but since giving my life to Christ it is impossible to have a bad day. Have some moments of frustration and even anger but nothing sticks.
Listen, 150 years from now none of it will matter, only 1 thing will matter when you are long gone and your name and face nobody even remembers. That is Christ and Christ alone. He says our burden is heavy but his is light, He says here...take mine...it will actually lift you up instead of weighing you down.
God of Heaven and earth, I pray that those who have heavy burdens and read these words will cast their cares upon you Lord and be lifted up by your grace and mercy!

I also try to remind myself that 99% of the things I stress about don’t really matter, at the end of the day.
This place is not our home and the secular stuff, is JUST THAT.

God does ALL (ALLLLL) things for the good of those that believe in HIM.

This can be terribly hard to understand in the moment, but the Word Is infallible. His thoughts are higher than ours, so are His ways higher than ours

Usually as soon as I see my boys and wife, all is right in the world again. It's funny, no matter how good or bad of a day I have, my wife and kids ask me how my day was. My answer is ALWAYS "busy". I know for a fact they are tired of hearing that answer, but they ask every day anyway. If they are not around, a good sesh at the gun range never hurts. If that is not an option, shooting the bow in the back yard or just tinkering around in the garage will take the edge off.

I try to stay pro-active instead of re-active. I try to focus on the good things that are going on and place the less than good things on the back burner as they happen, no matter how bad they are. If the good is what you are focusing on, then ideally you won't end up with a "bad day"
