I think the playoff is Oregon (they should be **** good this year), Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State.
I expect to beat Auburn this year with them losing a lot on D, and us returning a ton and a SR QB... If we don't Fisher seat is warm for me.

That's the way I see it as well. Texas will have a lot of experience on the field and LSU will be having to fill a lot of holes. The unknown to me is the new Texas coaching staff. Never good when you have to fire nearly your entire staff.

We comin'......again. The pundits are writing LSU off, and that's a mistake. No Joe Burreaux this year, but Brennan is no slouch.

Glad someone brought that up, and to add it’s a shortened offseason it’ll be a hard task on all the new faces across cfb to have the kinks ironed out quickly

I am just hoping there is a season! This is my sons Freshman year and he has an opportunity to be the starting QB at a NAIA school in South Dakota. (Dakota Wesleyan University) So far it seems like everything is on schedule, he reports for camp there on July 6th. Sucks that he is so far away, but he loved the school and the Medical program. He had closer offers in the NCAA Div II but preferred the total package at DWU.

I am also a UTSA season ticket holder so I want it go as scheduled as well for that. They are supposed to open the season against LSU! We plan to make the trip if they get to play (heard rumors that they only play conference games this year) Yes I know they will get spanked so no need to talk smack!

Speaking of LSU; in 1930 Dakota Wesleyan played LSU! Surprisingly the score was only 76-0.

The defense should be much better this year, we should have a better OL, and we still have a stable of great WR's, including Chase. No, you can't replace Burrow, but we hopefully won't have to score as much to win this year.

LSU gonna beat you baws with your own kin folk. Then, your next posts will be.....

"Woody and The Capt. keep raiding Texas and taking our best players. No wonder they keep beating us."

Wait until you see what they have coming from Cali. John Robinson and Marcus Allen sending more to their old padna Eaux.

LSU stacked at QB for years...…

Curious how the defense is expected to be much better? Y’all lost one of the best pass rushers, starting linebackers, LSU’s best dt, and a safety and cb that went in the second round? Plus the DC.

Don’t y’all have to replace most of the o-line?

Speaking of taking Texas talent, Ohio state sure knows how to raid Texas for a couple elite talents every year. It always kind of surprises me how they land them, and hardly ever lose them.

How does this equate to a much better defense when they are replacing experienced upperclassmen that went in the first few rounds of the draft?

There are rumors out of Bellmont that are odd, but... Here goes. Not sure how much traction this really has, but they have apparently discussed reimbursement to all season ticket holders and using a lottery system not to exceed 30-40% capacity. We'll see how this plays out.

So are tiger fans basically saying that

Underclassmen with talent will be greater than or equal to losing last years starters to the NFL? That's possible

Bo Pelini (new DC) will be as good or better than Aranda? I doubt that

Both of those have to be true to have as good or better defense... we will see

*However your offense may not force the defense to play as man snaps this year, so the numbers look better. It'll be interesting to see.

You want to put $100 on they are equally/higher rated defensively than last year?

I recall chavis was going to bring a top 25 def to Aggie land....coaches are important but talent is the absolute biggest factor

You ranked #31 in scoring defense, and total defense. LSU perennially is better than that. I'm referencing the comment of being "much better" than last year. Not everything is directed at you in here.

It's no coincidence that you move to a spread high octane attack, and your defensive numbers dropped to your worst in 11+ years. That's what happens when your scoring a bunch, and defense is playing more snaps a game. AKA Sumlin's offense paired with Chavis.

Are you going to continue your high flying attack? Now that Brady is gone are you going to revert back towards normal LSU football? All of that determines your statistics. Talent alone LSU has a top 25 defense.

Is Bo Pelini a better DC than Aranda? Pelini hasn't been a DC in 13 years.

You lost 6 defensive players to the NFL draft who were starters or significant players.

It's not hard to see why people don't just jump on some fans thought wagons that the LSU defense will be "much better"

Sam is better than any QB they've put on the field other than a transfer that learned how to QB elsewhere.

You said tigers fan an first sentence touched on my wording so i responded, as i stated early i don’t believe they will be MUCH better as for some reasons mentioned. However i do believe they will be as good or better...talent alone they can def be much better. I believe LSU falls some where in between the old an new, i can see it falling 60/40 give or take a few points. It will vary depending on where the strength of the team are, the offense can still be a top 10 offense IMO Brennan is a wild card but there’s plenty of offensive talent to sustain a high offense.

“Nothing has been determined..it’s May 26th and we have 3 1/2 months before kickoff.. as of today we’re planning a full house and will adjust if needed as we get closer to game time..let’s keep a positive attitude and an optimistic view of what lies ahead.. together we got this” Chris Del Conte

Btw.. who will be your team when you start hating O because he doesn’t produce a national championship every year like Miles?

I really dont think many if any LSU fans expect a championship this year but i do think they make the playoffs next year. With that said I think this years defense will be better than last years and Brennan will be more than serviceable at qb. LSU should go 10-2 and i think thats a very solid year considering all they lost from this past year.

I won’t argue with him being better than Mond, that’s for sure. Case McCoy was better than Mond, but they both have beaten the Aggies!!
