Mine likes 69 grains of RL 22 and 110 gr Accubonds. Pushing close to 3400 fps. It drops stuff. A lot of stuff. Only time I didn't have a pass through was on a big hog through the shoulders at about 350 yds. But he didn't go anywhere. Layed on on all fours and never even kicked.

I shoot mine suppressed. Help recoil and makes it quiet enough not to have to wear earplugs. I went to Africa last year on a cull shoot. I loaded 90 gr sierra HP to shoot in the PH's gun. I shot over 50 animals granted most were head and neck shots but that little bullet at warp speed destroys things. Biggest animal was waterbuck and gemsbuck. If you want cheap, fast and deadly try them over some H-1000.

I shoot Accubonds in mine, but I’ve been wanting to try out the Berger 115s.

Those of you that shoot the Bergers in the 257, how do you like them for deer and pigs?

Definitely proceed with caution as it is well above book max.

And yes it will blow through 3/8 AR500 even at 200 yards.

NVM just saw what I was looking for. Y'all tried a similar load running the nosler BT at those speeds? How does that Berger perform on game?

257 is dang impressive but quick loads shows 131s pushing almost 80,000 psi at 3400.

I ran a 1-10 twist Bartlein with 115 VLDs @ 3400-- rebarreled to a fast twist (1-7.5) to run the long 121gr Hammers and 131 Blackjacks--

7828ssc has been consistent but slightly slower velocity (3300~) than I had originally hoped.

Because of the reduced bearing surface some guys are getting over 3400 with 131s... which puts them, energy wise, in the league of the 7RM w/ 162s...

I'll be testing the 131s on Aoudad in three weeks!

Pretty anti climatic. I just stick the barrel out the window and they da lol over dead. [emoji23]

Bang flops out to 400+ so far. Don’t expect an exit.

I’ve not pushed a BT that fast. Kinda scared to based on past experience with them on much slower rounds.

Hate to bust the bubble, but 60 grains of Varget behind a 110 vmax in the fuddy ought six will do 3500... I’ve done it myself

73-75 grain R25 (work up to 75.....HOT)
115 berger VLD

3500-3600 FPS from a 25-26" bbl

It will perforate 3/8" AR500 steel

Man I had major jacket issues at those speeds, had bullets blowing up on a pronghorn and whitetail. Cratering hide and muscle with no penetration into vitals.

Dropped down to 3380 and no issues, I may of had a bad batch.

Nonetheless my favorite bullet in the Roy
