Gambling and casinos.

My buddies birthday was yesterday so he wanted to go to the casino. I know my luck so I'm really not a big time gambler although I think it's fun. But it's fun people watching at times. Watched a guy lose $1,000 in two hands of poker and acted like he just lost $20. But he had probably $10,000 in chips in front of him so that's probably about what it's like for him. I just can't imagine losing that kind of money. On the other hand I saw a lady win $10,000 on a slot machine. Which I can't really imagine either.

I'm a blackjack kind of guy. I'll occasionally play roulette but I pretty much suck at both so either way it don't matter.

What do y'all like to play at the casino? I've never won anything so I kind of like to hear about people that have good luck. In my experience they're kind of like a strip club. Don't go in with any more than you want to lose because you will. You just have a better chance of getting it back at a casino but not by much. That's how it's panned out for me anyways.

I have the same thoughts as you, figure out what you’re willing to spend for an evening of entertainment. If you get up $100 or $200, cash out and go enjoy a nice dinner and drinks for “free”.

The problem with me is or has been in the past is I had to learn how I operate. I take $100 and my ID and leave my wallet at home. Because I've seen how I do things. I figure if I can't get it done with $100 I ain't getting it done.

In the past I've been up 3 to 400 dollars and lost it. My buddy has told me "You're doing good, cash out!" And my inner addictive gambler speaks up and says "I'm doing good. I ain't cashing out." Later on during the drive home my real self says "I should have cashed out."

I've seen that same guy I become that won't let me quit go to the ATM machine so I can win my money back. That worked out super good too......LOL

So it's all a matter of knowing just what kind of gambler you are. And I can promise you people like me have no business being in a casino with access to their bank account.

When it comes to certain things I have an addictive personality. Gambling is one of those things so I can't even be around it too much. I don't have a gambling problem but I think it could become a big problem.

I have never left with more money than I walked in with. I can go even farther, I have never be up. If start with $100.00, I have never been up to $101.00. I loose for a while then win a little. Just enough to keep me playing. I would never get back to my original $100.

Most that gamble that kind of money have it to spend. Me, I work way too hard to do that with my money.

I am not opposed to it but I guess i was born without the gambling gene or something because I don’t get the charge out of it that many do. My wife on the other hand- at the craps table her eyes kinda glaze over and she is overtaken by some kind of euphoria. Fortunately she is also a tightwad so it doesn’t get out of hand. My biggest problem with gambling that it takes place in a casino. Crowds, noise, flashing lights everywhere- no thanks

We live way to close to Oklahoma border but my wife is up about $4000 last 2 weeks......we do get "free" crab every Thursday with our platinum players card and get in elite line

An ex boss of mine won consistently on the slots early in the AM, like 4 or 5 because he said that most have lost and the slots are ready to pay. He also said on several occasions he would put a $20 on a waitress drink server ans say something like he wished he knew one of the slots that would pay. He said they would walk around and sort of motion to one or two of the slots and if he played long enough he won big. Not sure if i believe him or not. He did like to gamble, so do I but i loose too much when I do.

Bartenders know me and tell me what machines have been paying but doesn't mean they will continue to....

Gambling money has no home.
I play blackjack when I go to Vegas. Always come out ahead cuz I walk away when I get up a couple hundred.

I rarely go to the casino but if I get up a couple hundred I quit. I’ve never won any big money but never play for any either. Play blackjack and gotta find my girl first. I won’t play with just anybody dealing.
