How do you manage/store all your photos on your computer?

Is there a photo manager that is better than the rest? I've used adobe PhotoShop Elements before, but wasn't too impressed.

I use Lightroom2 to manage my photos. It has amazing capabilities. I store my photos on both my desktop and my laptop. I also have two 1TB external hard drives that get synced monthly. One gets stored at my wife's office. (Away from our home in case of fire.) I figure four times redundancy is enough.

I don't keep anything on my computer permanently. Everything is kept on externals. the most important pics, family, pro sporting events are also backed up on DL-DVDs. that way I always have a minimum of 2 copies of my most important images.

I also rent server space for my sites and I can keep important things there as a 3rd backup. However the online storage may be another alternative like MOZY.com. I don't like to keep anything like that on my computers because they will slow down eventually.
