    Hill Country Rut

I was hunting between Fredricksburg and Comfort; the bucks where reallly chasing the does, I even saw one mount a doe. I saw a huge 10 pointer and a really nice 8 and saw another big bodied buck could only see that he had antlers in the thick brush. I saw another nice really big bodied deer far off probably a buck but was at least 200 yards away did not have any high powered binoculars, only my small stalking scope. Couldn't arrow a deer but I found some scrapes and answered them with some Tink's Doe n Rut urine. I can hunt there the rest of the season, but it was only my 2nd time there. I will be setting up a tripod next to those scrapes this week.
    Happy hunting! Anyone else?

Was hunting in Brady this past week and had a buck chasing two does while I stood in the middle of the road at 50 yards. He could have cared less of my presence. I'm thinking these few cold fronts we've had has triggered them a little early.
