Yes they are a little heavier to haul around but the Summit Viper Stand is just awesome!

I hunt in the National Forest and pack my stand in for 1-2 miles on my back with no problem. Now, I did pad the straps with pipe insulation.

I did have to condense my backpack into a fanny pack and not carry unnecessary items to lighten the load.

It wasn't worth it for me, to spend 100 more dollars to save 6 pounds. I went with the Classic.
