I seen two very small deer yesterday, no spots but they couldn’t have been that old.

Here where I live in Louisiana I had pics Thanksgiving week of a doe with a spotted fawn. That’s the latest I’ve ever seen one.

Whitetail gestation is 201 days. So if you are seeing fawns in mid April then that doe was bred in early Oct.

Saw a mature buck this morning that appeared to be dogging a doe.

We have some fawns born in late August or September every year, so fairly late. Likely yearling doe that cycled into heat late

I watched a fawn being born in my yard on Aug 12th two years ago... so that doe was bred around the end of Feb. It happens.

This was a big older doe. Had 7-8 other does standing around staring at them lol and was an ear spread 8 point that mounted her
